Gerhard und Maria Wir verbrachten eine Woche(23.4.-30.4.2008) in Orchid Corner. Die Anreise war etwas schwierig,doch wir lernten bei der Suche des Quartiers bereits die nähere Umgebung kennen.Erst einmal gefunden, wurden wir sehr herzlich aufgenommen.Wir spürten täglich eine Gastfreundschaft, die an Herzlichkeit nicht besser sein konnte.Das Frühstück war täglich ein Erlebnis, echt italienisch.Da wir auch noch Glück mit dem Wetter hatten, war es eine ganz tolle Woche.Ich möchte mich auf diesem Wege nochmals bei unserer Gastfamilie für Alles bedanken.Täglich kamen wir uns näher, so daß der Abschied richtig schwer viel.Es war für uns sicher der schönste und beeindruckensten Urlaub. Wenn ich wieder in diese Gegend kommen, werde ich sicher dieses Quartier wieder nehmen.Es ist, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten dieser Gegend zu erreichen, optimal gelegen.Amalfiküste,Capri,Vesuv,Neapel alles leicht mit Auto,Bahn oder Bus zu erreichen.Ein optimales Quartier geführt von einer sehr netten Familie.

My wife and I and our daughter and son-in-law stayed at Orchid Corner while in Meta. The rooms and were spotless and neatly decorated. Antonino picked us up at the train station, and Carmela had a snack of cake and coffee ready when we arrived. Carmela provides excellent advice on the sites in the region. It was our good fortune to follow her advice in all matters of travel and eating around the Amalfi Coast and Naples. The location of Orchid Corner is near the only public beach in the Sorrento area, and once you get to know the route, only a few minutes walk from the train station. Meta is the perfect location if you want to stay in Sorrento but do not like the crowds, and the Orchid Corner B&B is the perfect location in Meta. Meta gives you a small slice of every day Italian life. Carmela and Antonino make you feel like family.

Watching again these days our holiday’s pictures, we remembered the splendid time we had in Orchid Corner in September 2007. We could easily move from Meta and visit with public transportation all the tourist spots of the area around, including Capri, Naples, Pompei and Vesuvio. But, more than just the convenient location of this beautiful and relaxing place, we enjoyed the familiar hospitality of Carmela and Antonino, who made also easy to get acquainted with other International guests. We´ll never forget the organised dinner at "Conca" at Meta seaside, with great seafood and the most spectacular fireworks we have ever seen, in a friendly and lovely atmosphere. We had a wonderful two-week sojourn at the Orchid Corner. Though in the meanwhile one might call it the Rose Corner. The cacti collection is very impressive, too. If you like concrete block hotels with “interesting” views on construction sites in the neighbourhood and lots of noise from the street then you’re wrong here. At Carmela and Antonino you can find a special piece of Italy: humor that heals stress away, quietness to enjoy your favourite book, lots of interesting guests from all over the world and of course the hospitality to make you feel like home. Quite notelessly Carmela and Antonino turned out to be the most funny and yet effective Italian teachers. If you prefer English or French, Carmela can do you that favour. We can warmly recommend the beach there. Do take your bathing suits with you even in October. We had great sunny weather at that time of the year. È stato magnifico! Ciao, Christian and Alexandra
