Better late than never! Mom, daughter and granddaughter stayed with Antonino and Carmella in November 2006. What could have turned out to be a rainy, cold visit was actually beautiful. The entire Sorrento area is so amazing. Meta is the perfect small town to experience Italian life. We had such fun walking the narrow stone streets. As was mentioned here already, transportation is fairly easy. Be prepared to ask "Dove?" Everyone is so helpful all over Italy. Carmella was our favorite host of all the places we stayed all over Italy (Both Bed & Breakfasts and Hotels). All 3 of us agreed that if we ever get to return to Italy we will certainly stay at Orchid Corner. This place is perfect, homey, clean, convenient, and welcoming. Carmella, we will never forget you and "St. Richard"...Ha! Ha! Hugs, Sheree, Shirley and Rachel.

Dans une ruelle étroite et calme se niche le bed and breakfast de Carmela and Antonio. L'accueil est chaleureux, souriant, délicieux. Les chambres sont chaleureuses, ravissantes, confortables. On a eu un vrai coup de coeur pour la nôtre qui donne sur une terrasse pleine de plantes. Nous avons passé des moments parfaits à l'Orchid Corner !

Nuestra estancia en el mes de agosto en el Orchid Corner fue una experiencia muy grata. Y nuestras tertulias nocturnas con Tonino, Carmela, Raymond y Denise fueron inolvidables. Dependiendo de ti esta puede este puede ser tu segundo hogar.

Die Unterkunft ist absolut zu empfehlen! Wir hatten als Familie ein neu renoviertes, geräumiges 4-Bett-Zimmer mit schönem Bad. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Das Gastgeber-Ehepaar war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es herrschte eine wirklich nette, internationale Atmosphäre mit den anderen Gästen aus verschiedenen anderen Ländern bzw. Kontinenten, die wir während des Frühstücks und manchmal auch am Abend kennenlernten. Das Haus ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu allen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Der Sandstrand ist zu Fuß schnell erreichbar. Nicht zu vergessen ist der Chef des Hauses: Max, die Katze - der absolute Favorit unserer Tochter. Wir haben den Urlaub in Orchid Corner sehr genossen!

Our time at Orchid Corners was more than we could have hoped for and was by far the highlight of our one month trip to Italy. Carmela and Antonio (and Max the cat) are incredible hosts – Gracious, warm and generous. Our room was lovely and Carmela’s garden provided a peaceful, quite respite from a busy travel schedule. Carmela and Antonio went far beyond the role of a traditional B&B owner and provided us with many helpful recommendations, but most importantly, allowed us to experience a side of Italy that we would never had a chance to experience had we not stayed at Orchid Corners. We have made true friends in Italy. Meta is wonderful area to be used as an anchor point for all activities on the Sorrento Peninsula. Everything is accessible via public transportation (trains, busses and ferries). Meta, a mere five minutes by train from Sorrento, is close to everything, but allows guests a welcome, quite time away from the bustling tourist activity in Sorrento. Our fellow guests were wonderful people from all around the world. Time together at breakfast and in the evenings at Orchard Corners, allowed us to get to know everyone. It was a great gift. We will definitely return to Orchid Corners and highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay on the Sorrento Peninsula.

Carmela y Tonino son encantadores. Nos hemos sentido como en casa: muy bien acogidos y muy cómodos. Las habitaciones son amplias, muy limpias y muy bonitas. La decoración es preciosa. Las sábanas están impecables y todo huele a limpio. Los desayunos en la terraza son muy abundantes y te dan la posibilidad de conocer al resto de huéspedes por las mañanas: italianos, americanos, españoles, húngaros... Meta está muy bien ubicado, con la ventaja de que es más tranquilo que los principales lugares turísticos. Muy bien comunicado por tren y autobús con: Pompei, Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi, Ravello, Napoli... En definitiva, un lugar ideal para pasar las vacaciones!! Ojalá volvamos pronto!! No dejéis de probar el limoncello, arancello o licor de fragolinas (fresas silvestres)... ummm delicioso!! (Y Carmela tiene la receta!!!) Saludos, Iván y Arantxa.

Dear Carmela & Antonino This is to thank you for your hospitality during our September stay at Orchid Corner. We found Meta to be a good location for accessing sites such as Pompei and Herculaneum, also for travelling into Sorrento. We enjoyed breakfasting in the garden and meeting the other guests in such an informal atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable and colourful ! The bed was of generouse proportions for a good night's sleep. The church clock was a new experience. We must not forget your home made cake which has yet to be copied. Delicious, Carmela. Carmella & Antonino acclaimed us in their lovely equipped little palace when we arrived tired and exhausted late at night. From the first moment "Mama Carmella" took care of her new "Bambini"! In the warm and friendly atmosphere of Orchid Corner we quickly felt like home. After several glasses of wine and great homemade Italian food we even learned un poco di Italiano (Carmella: Si, si! Brava! Brava!!) Fortunately didn't we see everything so far, so we MUST come back to Meta! and we already know where we will stay next time :-)

Ciao ciao. I like Italy very much, and the most Sorrento. I thank this to the Romano family. They are now very good friends of mine. They are very kind, and also the B&B Orchid Corner is very beautiful. I think I come back there a lot of times because I like it very very very much.
